usually I'm more of a street style over couture kind of gal but these photos from lavandula.tumblr.com had me swooning.  the fabrics!  the embellishments!  the artistry!  it would be a dream to wear (or at the very least try on) one of these gowns.  Unfortunately that means I'd either have to become a. rich b. famous or c. both which is not likely to happen anytime soon.  Oh, but one can dream......

I've been really obsessed with j-fashion styles recently, so I immediately freaked out when I came across blackroseponpon.tumblr.com.  Her outfits run the gamut from gothic lolita to cult party kei, and I just love it all so much.  Her style makes me want to buy a brand new wardrobe that's inspired by it (as if my ebay addiction isn’t bad enough already):
