decorating the fuck out of my hobonichi weekly planner

I spent roughly two hours the other day glueing buttons and gems to my hobonichi planner, and dare I say I really liked the way it turned out!  It feels very cluttered and chaotic which is exactly my vibe.  A lot of the hobonichi videos I see online have more or less the same aesthetic, which is cute and all, but isn't exactly my thing.  buttons galore precariously placed on a surface on the other hand is, more or less, my vibe.  the only issue is I'm scared to use it now because I'm afraid the buttons will fall off if I open it too forcefully.
